Data Engineer

The Data engineer contributes to the software development of digital services working in our ecosystem of machines and technology, generating added value for our agriculture clients.


Responsibilities

  • Take part on the development and maintenance of the cloud infrastructure to collect, store, process and visualize data collected by our machines in operation, as well as data coming from other sources (weather, IOT sensors, sky images, etc).
  • Use or implement existing or new processing algorithms to extract relevant agronomic information such as: current state of the crop, efficiency of Ecorobotix machine operation, presence of artifacts in crops such as disease, pests, various stresses
  • Develop and deploy the web portal for allowing our clients to access and visualize their data
  • Develop and interface cloud-to-cloud bridges to export the agronomic data to third-party farming software for visualization
  • Develop and setup the crop models to predict optimal next crop operation done by the machine and medium / long-term crop evolution (crop yield)

  • Linux, AWS, Airflow, Docker, Django, PostgreSQL, Python, Ansible Terraform, Bash


Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in computer Science, or related field.
  • Excellent knowledge of French B2 and English (technical) (spoken and written).


Experience / Technical Skills

Required

  • 5+ year of experience in software system development and data processing
  • Strong skills with cloud infrastructure (deployment, maintenance, security, AWS, Ansible, Terraform)
  • Strong skills in software development (docker, databases, python, etc..)
  • Strong experience in Linux based OS and scripting.
  • Experience in data processing: image processing, statistics, etc

Plus

  • Experience with Agricultural data
  • Experience in geo-localized information processing such as generation of maps
  • Experience in machine learning and methods
